For Interested Musicians and Singers
Thank you so much for your interest in serving on the worship team at Mt. Gilead! This guide explains our expectations and the audition process. Please read through everything below so you know what to expect.
We believe that serving on the worship team is about MORE than just musical ability. We look for three key qualities in every team member:
Character
Community
Competence
Anyone who stands on the stage during our worship gatherings is seen as a leader in our church. For this reason, we want to make sure our team members are people of integrity who model what it means to follow Jesus.
We are not looking for perfection—we are looking for people who are progressing in holiness and living a God-honoring lifestyle.
Traits We Avoid:
Laziness or poor work ethic
Prima donna attitudes or entitlement
Unreliability or inconsistency
Unwillingness to submit to leadership
Divisive or gossiping behavior
Traits We Value:
Reliability and consistency
Humility and teachability
Strong work ethic
Deep devotion to Jesus
A lifestyle that honors God
We want worship team members who are genuinely part of our church family—not just people who show up to play music.
What This Looks Like:
Regular church attendance
Being a fully engaged member of Mt. Gilead Church
Building genuine relationships with others
A heart to continue growing in your faith and becoming a lifelong disciple of Jesus
